Fun With Cardboard

It was raining today. The perfect day for a cardboard box castle!

And what would a castle be without a knight to protect it?

One more...

Here is Secily meeting Sleeping Beauty. Right after they took this picture Secily looked at her and said "I really like Cinderella."

Honesty is the best policy...MOST of the time Secily....

Sleeping Beauty was very nice & princessy about it all. :)

Disneyland wins..

the award for most expensive candy bar in history. Or maybe the Take
5 is just that good.

The Magical World of Disney!

We went on a mini-vacation this week, and took the kids to Disney World! We decided to start slow, and just do one day at the Magic Kingdom while they were this young. It worked out great, one day at the park in the heat was about all we could handle!
The family on Main Street:

Secily's highlight of the day was meeting Cinderella:

Larson loved driving the race cars:

We rode rides - here we are on the teacups:

And saw some shows:
this is Larson watching the pirates on stage

Secily & I:
Jane's visit to Disney pretty much looked like this:

We stayed at the Gaylord Hotel which also was awesome! They had so much for us to do. We spent an afternoon & evening at the hotel when we first arrived in Florida, and after playing all day Secily said "That was a fun day." (brief pause) "Hey!! We forgot to go to Disney World!"
They had alligators & turtles to look at (& feed if you were there at the right time!) There's an alligator laying on the rock by Secily's head....
We ate dinner on a boat
And they had a fantastic pool & splash park!

Ryan & Larson going down the slide:

It was a great time - even travelling with all of us went well....what more could we ask for!?

This one's for the TSG

It was VBS at church this week (or CVS as Secily called it all week), so we were pretty busy. But, we did get a fun visit from my friend Lauren!! She is back in town, about to start her residency at Parkland Hospital in Dallas....so if anyone needs to have their child delivered...Lauren can do it for you.
She came to meet Jane Reilly.
It was so fun to see her!
Also, in the 2 hours that she was here, Larson fell in love with her - not only was she interested in the Incredible Hulk video game he was playing, but, she also came with cookies. What more could you ask for!?

40 Inspirational Speeches in 2 Minutes

Weekend Update

There is never a shortage of Princess-themed things to do around our house. Secily makes sure that everyone is often invited to a tea-party, or the ball, or a dance... I knew I saved all of my old bridesmaid dresses for a reason!

Larson is frequently asked to stand in as "The Prince". He will agree to dance with Secily

and somehow maneuver the dance into a wrestling match.....

...every time.

We enjoyed some time with Anders & my parents this weekend. Here is Grandpa with the youngest 2 grandkids.

A deepthroat informant told us that 7-11 had a transformer slurpee

Sorry

"I'd really like to help, but I've got these two sacks."

Almost...

Today, as Larson & I were chatting, he asked me something (I wish I could remember what...probably for more computer time!), I replied with "no way."

"No way?" he repeated

"Nope" said I.

"No way, Ho....,um....No way, Ho, Ho, ...., No way Hosanna?"

Close, Larson. It usually goes "No way Jose."

While we're talking 'close, but not quite', Secily asked me a few days ago to get on the scale, because she wanted to know how much I weighed. (Pul-lease....I just had a baby!) But like a good mother I stepped on. She took a close look at the numbers and loudly exclaimed:

"10 o'clock!"

I'll take that. :)

Quick Pics....

I have yet to totally balance my time and life....but today I have found 30 mins to sit down at the computer & at least post a few pictures!
