Facing Raiden.

I installed a couple of ceiling fans. Luckily I avoided electrocution.

Baseball

We went to the Frisco Roughriders game.

-Dippin' Dots. $5 per mini helmet. Two helmets please
-1 funnel cake $4
-1 box of Zours $2.50

It equalled one incredible father and son ballpark experience and a
major stomach ache.

Golf

I could tell by the gleam in his eye he was envisioning the final
approach at Augusta's 18th. After a full swing that hit everything
but the golf ball. He calmly replied. "That was a practice swing".

Spoken like a true golfer.

A Whole New Word

I think the English language should have a word for when you are
trying to get the remaining ice out of a cup thats clumped and stuck
together at the bottom and when you tilt the cup and tap the bottom
all ice comes crashing down on your mouth and face at once.

What would be the right word?

The Mud Dogs

We signed Larson up for T-ball this year. He didn't really enjoy soccer (remember this all that hanging out by the trees?), but he was asking to play t-ball, so we signed him on. It wasn't long after that the emails started coming....the team needs a coach - anyone willing? Anyone? Anyone? Finally, after the third pleading email from the YMCA, Ryan volunteered. And, the Mud Dogs were born.

To say that "watching 4 year olds play t-ball is hilarious" is an understatement. There are kids who hit the ball and then just stand there at home plate. Then, there are the ones who hit the ball and then chase it. Then, there are the ones who don't want to hit the ball, they just want to run around the field with a baseball helmet on backwards....it is a VERY good thing that Ryan is so patient!

He's a great coach, and Larson is having a blast.

Easter...(a look back)

Since I was a little busy Easter weekend, I didn't get the chance to blog about it - so I am making up for it now.....

We started the day with a huge Easter Egg hunt! Our church was doing a fundraiser, and they came and loaded up our yard with eggs!

SO MANY eggs! It was great fun for the kids!

We had a delicious bunny breakfast (thanks Linda!)

I tried to get a picture of all three kids before church, and, well, this is the best we got...

Secily got a bottle for her baby in her Easter basket,

We had lunch over at my parents house - Jane, Anders & Lucy all got acquainted.

While Ryan & Larson & the rest of the guys watched the Masters.

It was a great day - we were so thankful to spend it with both sides of the family!

Better than Bluebell?

Those three words alone make me a heretic in Texas. But you better
try this stuff out before you burn me at the stake. Tom Thumb's got it.

Finger or Tail

Blog Poll: While discussing life with my youngest sister awhile back, she posed a question that if we're honest with ourselves we've all asked before.

Would you rather have a an extra pinkie finger on your right hand or a small 4 inch tail?

Larson has been learning the Fruits of the Spirit at his preschool. He came home the other day, and I asked him if he knew them. Yes, he replied.....love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness-gracious, and self-control.
I love it.
