Ran across this 1978 staple of electronic gaming the other day.
Remember those sweet graphics...aka red dots.

Super Nachos
I ordered some Super Nachos at the Rangers game. There are two main
criteria to eat an entire order.
criteria to eat an entire order.
1st- You need to be extremely hungry.
2nd- On a scale of 1-10, you can't care about your health more than a 6.

Numa Numa
A couple of people sent me this video of Matt Harding last week. After checking out Matt's bio, I read that he was one of the Vh1's 40 greatest Internet celebrities. After combing through the list I realized I had never heard of their #1 top dog -the numa numa kid. If you can turn it off after watching at least the first 18 seconds I would consider you an expert in time management.

Something Special
I don't know when exactly this happened, but I do know that it was a desperate attempt to get the kids to !stay in their beds! and go to sleep.
It has become a regular event in our house. What happens is this:
I put the kids to bed.
They quickly try to escape their room, or start wandering around inside their room.
I tell them that I have "something special" for them if, and only if, they stay in their beds.
(Who doesn't want something special!?)
I scour the house looking for that something special.
Here are a few examples of the special things they have gotten so far
A hole punch
A balloon
A painted rock
A napkin ring
A mini flashlight
A calculator
But, the other night, they got the special of all specials.......glowsticks!! (Thanks Aunt E!)
Here they are - not going to sleep, because their something special, is just too special!

Ohio....again!
I was just looking through my Mother-in-law's pictures from our trip up to Ohio & realized that I had left out way too many good pictures - it definitely needs another post! Plus, I forgot to mention one of the most fun things we did while we were there - berry picking! It has been years since I have been and it was so much fun, and SO, SO good! We, of course, did our fair share of berry eating as well - and by the end of it, with 2 kids involved, we all had a significant amount of berry all over us. We had red stains everywhere - it looked like we were maybe a family who resorted to blood & violence.
Yes, web slinging is appropriate at a berry farm (and also one of the only ways to get Larson to look at the camera!)
On our way to pick berries we saw this:
It's a building. A huge building. Shaped like a basket.
We also did one of my not-so-favorite activities......feeding the birds. Yes, I willingly went along thinking it would be so much fun for the kids, but let's be honest - I couldn't quite hack it. I stood WAY off to the side passing on my bird-issues to my young daughter, as Larson, Linda & Lesley fed the geese.
Can you blame me? Do you see how many of them there are!?
And even when the food is gone, they follow you.
Geese were not the only animals we saw on the trip, we also saw this little guy munching on Linda's plants right outside the kitchen window!
More celebrations pictures:
Canada Day:
And Fourth of July:
Secily's Birthday:
Me decorating cupcakes & Lesley, um, helping me. :)
And Hanging Out:
What a great family I married into!

Ooh-de-la-li, Ooh-de-la-li, Golly What a Day!
The other night, as we were getting ready for bed, Larson put on his Batman p.j.'s and asked me: "Mom, where is the stuff for Robin?"
to which I replied "Um.....what?"
"Well" he continues, "I am Batman, and if we had the stuff for Robin, Secily can be Robin"
We do not have the stuff for Robin, but thankfully we had an extra cape lying around, and that seemed to work fine by their standards.
Here they are - Batman
and his trusty sidekick - Robin (ready for any action armed with her purple blanket - and matching bow. I mean, seriously, who is going to mess with a superhero who has coordinated her cape & her bow? Not me.)
Together they form a plan....
Wait!
Is this in the plan?
I guess they had to just prepare themselves for what may lie ahead. Carry on then....
