Winter Wonderland

Family Night #2 was Winter Wonderland. We had a great night!
Secily & I did the decorating.... snowflakes!




We dressed the part -

Had snowman soup (kindof creepy looking, I know...)

and had snowflakes for dessert (or puppy chow....how I miss you Lesley!)

Ryan & Larson made marshmallow guns this afternoon, for our 'snowball fight'!

We had a glacier on the playset, and the object was to hit the glacier with the snowball....

It quickly turned into, let's hit Daddy with the snowballs!

Then it turned into, let's break the glacier in the street (this unplanned activity turned out to be Larson's favorite part of the evening. Am I surprised? no.)

We finished off the evening with a wintery craft - snowman suncatchers!

Mailbox Hardware

My mailbox handle broke and I'm looking for a replacement. Lowes and
Home Depot can't help. Where can I get a mailbox handle replacement?
Other than the McGruber zip tie idea. MACGRUBER!!!!

When I was 10 yrs. old I remember going to my Grandpa Charlie's house
and begging to see his World War II German dagger. It's been passed
down to me and apparently hasn't lost it's appeal. Larson asks to see
it everyday.

We spent last weekend visiting friends in Canada. It was suppose to be a long weekend, but due to some flight issues, it turned out to be not as long as I would have liked!

The time that we did spent there was great. We stayed with Geoff & Tree. We picnicked in the park:

I wish I had taken more pictures while I was there, but things were busy with the NINE children that we had running around! Dinner's seemed like one big birthday party!

Even though I didn't get great pictures, it was great to be there, great to be with good friends.

I took a picture of this girl with a rediculous dog hanging out the
back of her pink suitcase like it's riding in a sidecar. This guy
besides me says to me; "Is that who I think it is?"

Me: "I don't know who that is, I'm taking a picture because of that
embarassing dog."...."Who is it?"

Guy: "I think it's Brook Hogan, Hulk's daughter."

So then I sneakily initiated the plaid cam after this girl met what
appeared to by a Mom type and headed past us. Unfortunately, No Hulk.

Trouble in Denver

We're heading to Canada today through Denver but we missed our 11:36am
flight by 5 minutes. Next flight out....7:14pm. So since I have 8
