Over the Top
Secily has always been a bit dramatic. It took my Dad about 3 days after she was born to dub her "Commander of the Universe". Here we are 4.5 years later and things haven't changed all that much. A typical conversation these days goes something like this:
Secily, how do you like that sandwich?
I don't like it.
Oh?
I don't like it....I LOVE IT.
or
Mom, I really love this dress.
Oh?
Yes, I want to wear this dress for THE RRRREST. OF. MY. LIFE.
or
Mom, I let JaneJane play with my doll.
That's nice.
She loves it. I said that she could play with it for THE REST. OF HER LIFE

February - Part 6
My Mom & I took a quick trip to California towards the end of the month to visit Family. We had a great trip together & enjoyed seeing my Grandparents, Uncle Paul & Aunt Carol, Uncle Earl & Aunt Adele & my sweet cousin Deanna.
So fun to see everyone!!
Mom & I stayed in Indio, and since we are not golfers, there was one tourist attraction for us to check out. The Shield's Date Farm.
The sign just reels you in.....
How could you turn this show down - - it's in sound AND color!
They did sell some good fresh fruit!
The resort we stayed at was a lot of fun - we went biking,
and picked grapefruit off of the trees!
Such a fun trip with Mom! :)
February - Part 5 Getting the Garden Ready
We are hoping to grow a garden this year. We have built the boxes, bought what we think are easy to grow vegetables, and have prepped the area. We'll see what happens!
Ryan & Larson drilling...(insert manly grunting noises here)
Dig it Secily!
JaneJane helping plant the seeds - you can see Secily in the background reacting to the newly found worm!
She's gotten braver in this picture - still using Larson as a buffer!
Thanks to my lack of blogging - here is the garden - a month after the previous pictures - it's growing!

March Madness
My Mother-in-law (bless her heart) filled out a bracket this year. She did admit that she had never heard of some schools like Gonzaga and Moorehead Street. I had to lovingly point out that I believe St. stands for state. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
February - Part 3
Once the snow cleared up (doesn't take too long in Texas!) it was time to get working on the yard! The kids loved jumping in the leaves & they discovered a tree that they can climb in our front yard.
Climbing High!

February - Part 2
Ryan & I were able to go away for the weekend thanks to the fabulous Aunty Lesley! The kids had a fantastic time with her, and we had a fantastic time at the wedding!

February
I know, it's March. It's the middle of March really already, and here I am just sitting down to write about February. But alas, better late than never......
Snow Days! We had snow & cold in February - school was cancelled & we loved being at home, and spending time outside. Such fun!

We also spent some of the time off of school just hanging out in our p.j's. Loved it!
Jane - that crazy girl!
